the best place to learn to fight and stay in shape, all in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment To start your training with us, just pick up the phone and call us on 054-3180868 to book your first class, or continue on to our ‘frequently asked questions’ if you want to know more.
What is BJJ
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art based on ground fighting (since that’s where most fights end up anyway!) that uses leverage and weight to let you control your opponent on the ground no matter what their size or strength. Just like in a game of chess, the aim is to use positioning to take away your opponent’s options and trap them into making mistakes (click here you want to see some videos). You’ll learn throws, locks, strangles and chokes in our classes, and get a serious work out!
What is MMA
Made popular by promotions such as the UFC, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a fighting style that covers everything, from striking to takedowns and grappling. In our MMA classes you’ll learn punches, kicks, throws, joint locks and strangles; making MMA fantastic for self-defence as well as just being great for your self-confidence and body.
Sounds great, when are the classes
We teach three BJJ classes a week, on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 20:00 – 21:30
we have NoGi BJJ class in Sunday from 19:00-20:00
and MMA classes on Monday and Wednesday from 19:00-20:00
Where are they
All of our classes are at number 24, Tsaitlin Street in Tel Aviv.
Awesome, so how do I get started
First things first, give us a call on 054-3180868 and speak to us about coming to visit the academy. Then, just come on down and try it out for yourself! Don’t worry, there’s no financial commitment, come and experience it for free, see how the classes are conducted and enjoy the atmosphere.
I’m a little nervous; can I just watch the first time
Of course you can, but we recommend getting involved! There’s no need to worry as our instructors and advanced students will guide you through the experience. Many people find that the advanced student that helps them through the first class ends up being something of a mentor in the sport for years to come, not to mention a great friend
Alright, so what do I need to bring
Just bring some loose and comfortable sports clothes, a t-shirt and shorts are great (although please try and make sure that the shorts don’t have any large buttons or zippers). Don’t forget though, the most important things to bring are an open mind and a friendly attitude!
